Terms of use

Short version: WhatDuty shows estimates. Customs authorities and carriers decide the real numbers.

What this tool is

WhatDuty estimates the landed cost of goods entering the EU — customs duty, import VAT, and typical carrier fees — from rules and rates we keep in a versioned data file with sources. We work to keep them current, but rules change and carriers set their own fees.

What it is not

  • Not customs, tax, or legal advice.
  • Not a guarantee of what you will pay. Actual charges are determined by customs authorities and carriers.
  • Not affiliated with any marketplace, carrier, or customs authority.

Your responsibility

Purchase decisions based on an estimate are yours. If a number matters to you, verify it with the carrier or your national customs authority before ordering.

Liability

The service is provided as-is, free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on an estimate. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Third-party sites

Product links you paste lead to third-party stores. Their prices, terms, and privacy practices are theirs, not ours.
